Facts and Change

Your point is well taken. You are an optimist. I am a pessimist and seeker of Facts and Truths, no matter unpleasant and painful some of them may turn out to be. I call a spade a spade. I don’t sugarcoat Facts and Realities. A rose by any name still smells sweet. A pig, no matter how much lipstick you put on it, is still a stinking pig. Likewise, a stupid, ignorant, deluded, senile human remains being so even if we sweet-talk to him, stroke his ego, and  indulge his fantasies. We might as well give him a shock therapy, dragging him to the clear, reflecting pool and force him to confront his ugly face by looking at the pool.
My strongly-worded comment is akin to the dragging the hapless bloke to the pool. The pool is the facts presented and the supporting arguments in the email I disseminated.
I believe that Change must come from within, after a collision with hard, verifiable facts. We are not children anymore. We don’t need sweet talks and cheap mollifying tactics. We need incontrovertible facts! And I remain convinced that those who cannot accept hard, incontrovertible facts are emotional cowards at heart, insecure weaklings, and indeed very stupid or getting hopelessly senile. Mind you, intelligence is not static. It can deteriorate and in old age it often manifests as SENILITY. You are fortunate that you do not suffer from senility or at least not yet. But that does not mean others do not.
By the way, I have a dim view of those who are occupied and preoccupied with Ego Defense Mechanism. I am just concerned with hard facts and sound logic.

I doubt U can change minds solely via logic and reason.  It can only be done through the heart via human connection.  To get thru and facilitate change, one needs to be respectful, not condescending, arrogant or judgmental, which will automatically trigger the ego defense mechanism; making change difficult, if not impossible.   No one is irredeemable, and the power to transform is to reach out via compassion, not name-calling (e.g., stupid, delusional, retarded, etc.).  Even fanatics want to be heard, not to be yelled at, judged, or shamed ! Doing so may forever forfeit any opportunity which can open the door to sober reflection. TP.

Please disseminate the below verifiable hard fact and sound reasoning far and wide in order to sanitize the minds of stupid, deluded, delusional monkeys and retarded, ignorant humans.

What is the Trump paradox?

What is the Trump paradox? Trump presents a number of bizarre paradoxes. Here are a few that popped into mind when I read the question …

(1) Trump is a career con man and professional grifter who claimed to be the “law and order president.” How amusing! In reality, Trump was the most lawless of presidents. He made Tricky Dick Nixon seem virtuous by comparison.

(2) Trump insisted that he and his administration needed to “dominate the streets” in order to maintain “law and order.” However, Trump apparently meant only when people with darker skin were rioting. He was obviously very much in favor of white supremacists and neo-Nazis rioting to support his attempted coup.

(3) Trump longed to be an authoritarian strongman like his heroes Putin and Kim Jong-un. But if Trump was an autocrat, he was “a singularly ineffective one.” Trump “lied relentlessly, expressed admiration for dictators, denigrated and threatened to jail his political opponents, disparaged judges and other public officials, vilified Muslims and foreigners, demonized journalists, and inflamed racial divisions.” But in the end, none of it worked and he left the presidency with an abysmal 29% favorable rating according to Pew Research. And who were the 29% who still approved of Trump? They were mostly poorly educated whites, many of whom fell for conspiracy theories and had no idea of who Trump really was, or what he was really doing.

(4) Trump tried to portray himself as a “strong man” but when he capitulated the Proud Boys, who were willing to fight and die for his cause, however misguided it was, called Trump what he is — a weakling, a coward, a traitor and a shill.

(5) Trump demands loyalty from everyone else, but exhibits absolutely no loyalty himself. According to an Axios report, Trump turned on nearly everyone in his final days, including Vice President Mike Pence, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, White House counsel Pat Cipollone, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. During his presidency he also turned on Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, Michael Cohen, General John Kelly, General James Mattis, and many other former allies.

(6) Trump goes on and on about “fake news,” but he is the King of Fake News.

(7) Trump bragged relentlessly about his superior intelligence. He referred to himself as a “stable genius.” But geniuses don’t put those words together and Trump habitually sounds like a moron.

(8) Trump loves the limelight and longs to impress other people with his wealth and intelligence. So if he were incredibly wealthy and had fantastic grades, of course he would be delighted to provide evidence. But Trump has always kept his tax returns and grades hidden, suggesting that he is embarrassed by the reality they would reveal. If you’ll pardon the pun …
